The Conventional Munitions Disposal (CMD) Kit provides Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams with a comprehensive selection of user-filled explosive charges.   The CMD Kit contains two types of explosive charge, suitable for point-focal or linear cutting tasks. Operators can deploy the charges for a range of explosive applications, including bomb disposal, trepanning, low-order deflagration, demolitions, and deliberate ordnance detonation.  In addition to a standard kit, we provide tailored solutions - kits designed to suit your specific needs, the threats you face, and the types of explosives used in your country.  Kit components include:

  • Copper-lined linear cutting charges
  • Shaped charges
  • Projectiles and accessories

Comprehensive capability

Shaped charges have unrivalled versatility

Highly portable, even when filled

The kit can include a variety of projectiles, nozzles and adhesive tapes

Copper-Lined Linear Cutting Charges

The renowned Dioplex charge is designed for linear cutting tasks in the EOD environment and is available in 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 22mm, 30mm, and 40mm diameters and 0.5 metre and 1-metre lengths.
Dioplex is used to cut steel plate or structural components and concrete that contains rebar. Commercial demolition teams use Dioplex in 60mm and 80mm diameters.

Shaped Charges

You can choose from a selection of shaped charges. Each shaped charge can be provided with various projectiles and nozzles that can be interchanged depending on the requirement.
They are used for point-focal accuracy versus IEDs and deflagration or detonation of UXO.

Projectiles and Accessories

The VulcanTM requires projectiles to function. Customers can choose from copper, magnesium, aluminium, and a water projectile to support multiple applications. Two types of nozzles are available, as is a water jacket that suppresses flash.
Two types of adhesive tape are also provided: one for wet conditions and one that is highly adhesive for firm positioning.

Optional Extras

The Universal Demolition Block (UDB) can be added to the kit for demolition capability. It is available in 250g and 500g variants and can take PE7 blocks and most types of plastic explosive.
Spare charges and accessories can be purchased as the items are used.
