Van Trepan™
The Van Trepan™ is a lightweight plastic charge which utilises either 11g or 22g of 10g/m (50 grain/ft) detonating cord provides a means of cutting a circular hole in the side, door or roof of a vehicle to facilitate inspection of the contents and insertion of a disruption charge if needs be.
Van Trepan would typically be used to gain entry to a sealed vehicle prior to inserting a disruption charge such as Bottler. It can also be used to create access holes for equipment and weapons. Van Trepan can be held in position by a prop stick, Breacher’s Tape, hydro tape or a combination of both.
