Alongside our core EOD, breaching and threat exploitation programmes, Alford Training delivers a set of specialist courses that round out operational capability, from countering the threat of uncrewed aircraft systems to building your own in-house instructional capacity. Where a discipline demands dedicated specialist depth, we deliver it with trusted training partners, giving you a single point of contact and a seamlessly integrated package.
As with all Alford Training programmes, content is shaped by a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and can be delivered as standalone courses or as modules within a wider training package.
Counter UAS Training
Counter Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) training develops awareness of the threat posed by hostile drones and the ability to respond effectively. Courses cover the evolving UAS threat picture, the use of shotguns as anti-drone tools and how their role is incorporated into a layered C-UAS system. The course includes a tactical field exercise where drones hunt participants.
The UAS threat is developing rapidly in current conflicts, and course content is regularly updated to reflect it.
Train the Trainer
Our Train the Trainer programmes build enduring, in-house instructional capability, so the skills we deliver continue to grow within your organisation. Courses develop instructional techniques, lesson design, practical exercise delivery, and assessment, applied to your unit’s own EOD, demolitions, or breaching training requirements.
This is the natural follow-on for organisations that have completed core Alford Training programmes and want to sustain the capability.
Medical Training, delivered with KPS
Operational medical training is delivered in partnership with King’s Paramedical Services (KPS), specialists in NAEMT-accredited tactical medical training for high-risk environments.
NAEMT-certified instructors with genuine clinical and special operations backgrounds provide the full suite of US DoD-validated programmes, alongside whole-team human factors and high-performance team development. Programmes include:
Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) courses (Combat Lifesaver, Combat Medic and Combat Paramedic tiers) | Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) | Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)
Ropes and Access Training, delivered with B2H
Ropes and access training is delivered in partnership with B2H Technical Rope Rescue Training, specialists in rope access and work-at-height skills.
Operationally focused courses prepare operators to reach and work on difficult-access targets safely, building practical skills tailored to customers’ requirements.
B2H provides programmes covering film, industry, urban, maritime and conventional climbing environments.
