IEDD Kit – Improvised Explosive Device Disposal
Alford's IEDD Kit equips EOD operators and Bomb Technicians with a configured set of user-filled explosive charges for the full range of IEDD tasks, from disrupting small devices in bags and briefcases to defeating vehicle-borne IEDs. The kit includes five charge types, plus carry-forward stands, accessories, and adhesive tapes. Standard kits cover the most common military and law enforcement IEDD threat sets; kits can also be configured to a team's specific operational requirements, threat profile, and the types of explosives available in territory. Water-tamped charges - small to medium IED defeat
A range of water-tamped charges that use sheet explosive, plastic explosive, or detonating cord as the propellant and water as the projectile, using Alford’s proven, patented water-disruptor technology.
Covers small to medium IED targets in bags, briefcases, and similar containers.
Omnidirectional charges - adjustable load, larger targets
Bottler™ and Bottler Lite™ in multiple sizes. Bottler Lite provides fixed explosive loads for more controlled effects; Bottler covers the full adjustable load range up to 200g for VBIED and larger enclosed targets.
Shaped charges - point-focal and UXO
Tamped strip charges - access tasks and frame charges
Alford Strip™ in 25mm and 42mm diameters, with corner pieces and T-joints for constructing frame charges. Water-based gel fill provides tamping and minimal fragmentation.
Linear cutting charges - fuze removal and casing cutting
Dioplex EOD™ in 10mm and 15mm diameters for EOD fuze removal and casing cutting tasks.
Dioplex™ is an aluminium-bodied linear cutting charge for severing steel plate, structural components, and reinforced concrete, on land or underwater. Seven charge sizes cut mild steel from 12mm to 80mm thick.
Accessories and adhesive tapes
Leg stands, detonating cord clips, corner pieces, and T-joints. Breacher’s Tape™ and HydroTape™ for attaching charges to clean, dirty, or wet surfaces.
